About Me

My magazine subscriptions are all food-related. My favorite section in the bookstore is the cookbooks. I’d rather spend money on a nice dinner than new clothing. My travel agendas are frequently structured around restaurants and local food markets. Perhaps this tells you something.

Eating whole foods is important to me and I cook this way as often as I can. The rest of the time, I usually eat pizza. Just kidding. But seriously.

I like farmers markets, cooking with seasonal produce, crusty bread, juicy pears, cheese plates, and studying wine. Fine doesn’t have to be fancy — it just needs to make me sigh “Isn’t life wonderful?”

Topics of greater weight and significance rage and swirl around our world, but by the grace of God, I am able to experience the beauty and joy abundant in everyday life. And you can, too.

Join me for itineraries from my travels (destinations!), thoughts on local restaurants (dining out!), experiences with food at home (dining in!), suggestions on party themes and entertaining menus (parties!), and thoughtful discussions on (life!) and (faith!).

In addition to writing here and on Instagram (@amandajoyjobe), I’ve also guest posted at (in)courage and Women Encouraged.

You can also follow my reviews on Trip Advisor and Delectable.
